The Bosphorus Zoning Directorate has decided to demolish 4,141 structures across four districts of Istanbul. The decision covers illegal and non-compliant buildings in Sarıyer, Beşiktaş, Üsküdar, and Beykoz, and includes additional structures on properties owned by celebrities such as Ferdi Tayfur, Hülya Avşar, Süreyya Yalçın, and Mehmet Ali Erbil.

A new process has been initiated regarding unauthorized and non-compliant structures on the Bosphorus in Istanbul. The Bosphorus Zoning Directorate, affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, is preparing a demolition tender for 4,141 structures in Sarıyer, Beşiktaş, Üsküdar, and Beykoz. The list includes some additional structures on the properties of famous artists and businesspeople. In addition to Ferdi Tayfur, Hülya Avşar, Harika Avcı, Süreyya Yalçın, and Mehmet Ali Erbil, the names of İshak Alaton, Hacı Ömer Sabancı, and Mustafa Koç also drew attention in the records.

SARIYER TAKES THE LEAD

In the demolition list for the Bosphorus Foresight Zone, Sarıyer holds the largest share. While there are procedures for 1,982 structures in the district, the list also includes properties of many well-known figures.

FAMOUS NAMES ON THE LIST

Records in Sarıyer include the names of Ferdi Tayfur, Hülya Avşar, Harika Avcı, Süreyya Yalçın, and Mehmet Ali Erbil. From the business world, the names of İshak Alaton and Hacı Ömer Sabancı stand out. The list in Beşiktaş includes Mustafa Koç and his shareholders, as well as Saffet Ulusoy and his shareholders.

BALCONIES, ROOFS, AND GARAGES ALSO ON THE LIST

It appears that demolition decisions do not only pertain to main buildings. Municipal records also include later additions such as unauthorized balconies, roof alterations, garages, and garden arrangements. Therefore, in reporting language, it is more accurate to say "non-compliant additions on their properties are on the demolition list" rather than "celebrities' villas will be completely demolished."

TENDER TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 22

The critical date for the demolition process of 4,141 structures has been announced as September 22. The demolition tender is planned to be held on this date.
