According to the information obtained, Günay Köroğlu and Eren Kavak, who live on the 4th floor of a 6-story building, started the washing machine and left the house. When the two friends returned home in the evening, they could not open the door. After a long struggle, they managed to open the door, but then they tried to enter. Realizing they could not get inside and becoming suspicious of the situation, the two friends reported to the fire department.

Upon the report, teams from the Kağıthane Fire Station were dispatched to the scene. The teams, which arrived at the scene in a short time, climbed to the 4th floor with the help of a ladder. The fire department attempted to enter the apartment through the window, as the door could not be opened. The firefighter who entered through the window determined during his checks that the washing machine had moved from its place due to vibrations while spinning and had come in front of the apartment door, preventing it from opening. After the firefighter pulled the machine away from the door, the two friends were able to enter their home.

A neighborhood resident who heard about the incident said, "The owner of the house started the washing machine and left, and the washing machine moved and blocked the door.
