After the musical "7 Kocalı Hürmüz" was staged again years later, the claim that guest artist Mine Koşan was late to the stage led to her removal from the project, causing a major controversy. While Koşan's side denied the accusations, it was alleged that Müjdat Gezen initially supported them but then stated that the decision came from the team. The family announced that they would take the process to court.
The classic musical "7 Kocalı Hürmüz," written by Sadık Şendil and directed by Müjdat Gezen, has reunited with the audience after many years. The new cast of the play includes Çağla Şıkel, Sarp Bozkurt, Müjdat Gezen, and Şeyla Halis, while Mine Koşan also appeared as a special guest artist.
ALLEGATION OF LATE ENTRY TO THE STAGE
After the musical opened, tension arose backstage. According to allegations, Mine Koşan entered the kaside section late despite being signaled to go on stage. It was claimed that this situation disrupted the flow of the performance, leading Çağla Şıkel to express her dissatisfaction by saying, "She didn't enter the stage on time."
COMPLAINTS ABOUT "SMOKING TOO MUCH"
Additionally, it was alleged that complaints were made to the production team regarding Koşan's excessive smoking in the backstage area. Following these developments, it was reported that the producers called the veteran artist and terminated her role in the project.
KOŞAN'S SIDE: "WE WILL TAKE THIS TO COURT"
According to Hürriyet's news, Mine Koşan's brother and manager, Ayda Koşan, made a statement regarding the incidents. Koşan stated that they do not accept the allegations, saying, "We canceled our concerts according to the musical's schedule. There were 2 premieres. They said, 'One for family members and the other is the normal premiere.' We did not receive any money from either. After 3 performances, they removed us from the musical. We have no contract. Müjdat abi (Gezen) said, 'If you are not there, I won't be either. We listened to the kaside and cried. You must be in this project.' We wanted to make a contract, but Müjdat abi said, 'My word is the contract.' After these events, we called Müjdat Gezen, but he did not answer the phone. My sister sent a message: 'You owe me an explanation.' After that, he called us and said: 'Yes, this situation was indeed not elegant. I told them, but it was the team's decision.' We had a 6-minute role, and they couldn't carry us there. You can't just kick someone out like that. We will take this matter to court," she expressed.
