In the Kuşadası district of Aydın, an argument that started on the phone soon turned into an armed attack. While Egemen Y., who was the target of Arif C.B., who is alleged to have opened fire with a pump-action shotgun, was wounded in the foot, pellets that ricocheted off the ground hit the leg of 14-year-old Sema N.S., who was on the street. It was learned that the two injured people, who were taken to the hospital, are not in life-threatening condition, and the police have launched an operation to catch the suspect.
The armed attack that occurred in the middle of the street in Kuşadası caused panic. In the gunfire that followed an argument that started on the phone, 2 people were injured, one of whom was a 14-year-old child.
THEY ARGUED ON THE PHONE, THEN MET ON THE STREET MINUTES LATER
The incident occurred on Akandere Street in the İkiçeşmelik District of Kuşadası, Aydın. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between Egemen Y. and Arif C.B. on the phone for reasons not yet known. Shortly after the argument between the two, the situation escalated. Allegedly, Arif C.B. came to the street with a pump-action shotgun minutes after the argument.
HE FIRED WITH A PUMP-ACTION SHOTGUN
It was alleged that Arif C.B. fired a pump-action shotgun at Egemen Y., whom he encountered on the street. While great panic occurred in the vicinity with the sound of gunfire, Egemen Y. was injured in his leg as a result of the shots. However, the pellets fired from the weapon during the attack did not only affect the target, Egemen Y.
RICOCHETED PELLETS HIT THE 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL
The pellets that came out of the pump-action shotgun and ricocheted off the ground hit 14-year-old Sema N.S., who was on the street at the time. It was stated that the young girl was injured in her leg. Thus, two people were injured in the incident: Egemen Y. and 14-year-old Sema N.S. Upon reports from those around, health and police teams were dispatched to the region. Health teams provided first aid to the injured at the scene.
TWO INJURED WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
Egemen Y. and Sema N.S. were taken to Kuşadası State Hospital by ambulances and brought under treatment. According to information obtained from the hospital, it was learned that both injured individuals were not in life-threatening condition. Police teams conducted an investigation on the street where the incident occurred and began efforts to determine the details of the attack. Efforts by police teams to apprehend Arif C.B., who is alleged to have carried out the armed attack, are ongoing.
