A pedestrian who was hit by a reversing panel van while walking on the road in Uşak lost their life at the hospital where they were taken.
VICTIM TRAPPED UNDER VEHICLE MAKING REVERSE MANEUVER
The accident occurred on Şifa Street in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the panel van with license plate 64 AFF 351, driven by M.Ş. (45), hit 88-year-old İbrahim Çeltikçi who was walking on the road while reversing.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE HOSPITAL INTERVENTIONS
After nearby citizens reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, 112 Emergency Health and police teams were dispatched to the area. İbrahim Çeltikçi was taken to Uşak Training and Research Hospital by 112 Emergency Health teams.
Despite all interventions, Çeltikçi could not be saved and lost his life.
Meanwhile, the panel van driver was taken into custody by police teams.
