Ali Koç, the former president of Fenerbahçe, expressed his satisfaction with the "appeal in the interest of the law" decision in the case of the armed attack on the Fenerbahçe team bus in 2015, stating that they will continue their efforts to clarify the process and thanked the Turkish Ministry of Justice.
Former Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç thanked the Ministry of Justice regarding the "appeal in the interest of law" decision taken in the case concerning the armed attack on the Fenerbahçe Football A Team on April 4, 2015 in Trabzon.

In his written statement to the AA correspondent, Ali Koç said, "The armed attack on our team bus on April 4, 2015, was not just an attack on our club, but a planned assassination attempt directly targeting the peace of our country. Although years have passed since this treacherous act, our determination to bring the perpetrators to justice continues without the slightest compromise. At the point we have reached today, we are following from developments reflected in the public that the 'appeal in the interest of law' decision, which is a very important stage of the legal struggle we have been carrying out patiently, persistently, and uncompromisingly for a long time for the perpetrators to be found and justice to prevail, has concluded positively. I thank our Ministry of Justice, which evaluated our application and made this critical decision, for the will they have shown in the name of the rule of law and the realization of justice."
''IT IS A RESULT OF UNWAVERING WILL''
Koç, reminding that they stated they would follow the case from the first day to the end, said, "As our community knows; we had expressed most strongly from the very first day that we would follow this case until the end and made the necessary applications. Indeed, during the years we were in office, we not only kept the issue on the agenda every April 4; our biggest priority was to ensure this file was not left on dusty shelves, to shed light on the traces that were attempted to be covered up, and to have the matter followed decisively at the highest levels of our state. The fact that this process, which we personally followed every detail of with our lawyers, has today turned into a decision that opens the door to justice, is a result of Fenerbahçe's unwavering will in its rightful case."

Ali Koç, stating that defending Fenerbahçe's rights is a lifelong matter of belonging, noted the following:
"For us, defending Fenerbahçe's right and law is not a duty brought by temporary positions or titles; it is a lifelong matter of belonging. Just as we did not abandon this case yesterday while having the honor of managing our club, today we will continue to be at the very center and follower of the process with the same faith and determination. On this occasion, I sincerely thank our relevant board members and esteemed lawyers who have contributed and put their hands under the stone throughout the process. I hope that this development is a harbinger of the days when dark hands will account before justice, and I maintain my belief that the relevant institutions of our state will finalize this process."
