The Ankara Governorship denied claims that some personnel on duty at the 36th NATO Leaders' Summit were poisoned by rations. The governorship stated that four personnel who reported feeling unwell on July 5 were taken to the hospital as a precaution, and tests showed no evidence of foodborne poisoning.

The Ankara Governor's Office made a statement regarding 4 personnel who became ill and were hospitalized while serving within the scope of the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.

"NO EVIDENCE OF FOOD POISONING FOUND"

In the statement from the Governor's Office, it was noted that some social media accounts shared posts regarding the food packages distributed to personnel serving within the scope of the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Stating that there was a need for accurate information in response to these posts, the statement recorded the following: "After the consumption of food packages distributed to our personnel on July 5, 4 personnel reported feeling unwell and were referred to the hospital as a precaution. As a result of examinations, tests, and blood analyses, no evidence of food poisoning was found in our personnel, and it was determined that their general health condition is good.

"FOOD SAFETY AND HYGIENE INSPECTIONS ARE CARRIED OUT METICULOUSLY"

The food safety and hygiene inspections of the food packages distributed to personnel have been meticulously carried out in coordination with the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate since the preparation process."
