Customs Enforcement teams of the Ministry of Trade seized 810 kilograms of cannabis in a truck at the Edirne-Kapıkule Customs Gate. While the vehicle and the drugs were confiscated, the investigation is being carried out by the Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In an operation carried out by the Customs Enforcement Teams of the Ministry of Trade at the Edirne-Kapıkule Customs Gate, 810 kilograms of cannabis-type narcotics were seized.
TIGHT CONTROL AT THE BORDER
Efforts conducted by the Customs Enforcement Teams of the Ministry of Trade within the scope of combating drug smuggling continue unabated.
In this context, as a result of risk analysis and targeting studies carried out by the Edirne Customs Enforcement Anti-Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate teams, a truck arriving at the Kapıkule Customs Gate to exit our country was assessed as suspicious.
HUNDREDS OF KILOS OF POISON SEIZED
As a result of the X-Ray scan carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams, the vehicle was directed to a detailed search. In the detailed search, 810 kilograms of cannabis-type narcotics hidden inside the vehicle's legal cargo were seized.
Within the scope of the operation, the truck used for transporting the narcotics was also confiscated.
It was reported that the investigation into the incident continues under the Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
