Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, notable findings were included in the financial analysis report concerning Oğuzhan Uğur and related companies. The report stated that financial movements such as over 45 million TL in cash inflows through Gain Media, YouTube revenues reaching 6.4 million TL in 2023, the purchase of a villa worth 25 million TL, more than 2,000 advance transactions, luxury vehicle purchases, and a zero profit declaration despite high turnover were examined within the scope of the investigation.
The financial analysis report prepared regarding Oğuzhan Uğur and his companies, who were detained as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Ahbaplar Criminal Organization, contained striking findings.
According to the report, while the group's main fund traffic was largely conducted through Babala TV, the report reflected fund inflows exceeding 45 million TL within the scope of Gain Media contracts, YouTube revenues reaching 6.4 million TL in 2023, a villa purchase in Çekmeköy Ömerli valued at 25 million TL, over 2,000 'work advance/advance refund' transactions, 6.5 million TL in cash deposited on the same day, and a transaction volume of 30 million TL carried out under the description 'vehicle purchase.'
STAFF NUMBERS INCREASED RAPIDLY IN 2023
According to Social Security Institution (SGK) records, it was stated that the number of insured employees at Babala TV between 2020 and 2022 was quite limited, with mostly Oğuzhan Uğur, Tuğrul Uğur, and a few technical/administrative personnel being listed as insured.
The report noted that following the agreements with Gain Media, corporate staffing accelerated from 2023 onwards, and the number of active employees reached its highest level by 2025.
In the chronological analysis prepared, it was assessed that the company transformed from a boutique digital broadcasting team into a large-scale media production company including camera operators, editors, administrative staff, and private security guards; while the intense advance traffic, high-value cash inflows, and million-dollar transactions conducted on the same day were described as 'risky and worth monitoring.'
COMPANY STRUCTURE AND PARTNERSHIPS EXAMINED
The report also examined the partnership structures, bank transactions, real estate records, and commercial activities of Babala TV, Babalayka Film, and Osis Yapım companies.
According to this, it was stated that the group's main financial traffic was conducted through Babala TV Organizasyon Ticaret Ltd. Şti., Tuğrul Uğur owned 100% of the shares of Babalayka Film Yapım Ticaret Ltd. Şti., and Oğuzhan Uğur held a 25% partnership share in Osis Yapım Reklam ve Organizasyon Ticaret Ltd. Şti.
DETAILS OF DEFENSE INDUSTRY AND SECURITY COMPANIES
In the analysis, it was stated that the Uğur family's commercial history was not limited to digital broadcasting, extending back to the companies Netsav Savunma Sanayi, Zırh Koruma, and Özel Güvenlik, founded in 2007.
The report also noted that Oğuzhan Uğur appeared as insured in these companies in 2008-2009, and included information that personnel of Chechen origin were employed in the security field within Babala TV from 2023 onwards.
UYAP RECORD AND CRYPTOCURRENCY INFORMATION
The report stated that there was a record of a criminal proceeding against Oğuzhan Uğur before the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in 2017 for the crime of 'theft by taking carried or worn property with special skill,' and the case was concluded with a decision of non-prosecution.
It was recorded that Tuğrul Uğur had an account at BtcTurk Cryptocurrency Trading Platform Inc. In the report, this information was listed among the financial profile headings evaluated together with companies, real estate, and money transfers.
FUND INFLOW OF OVER 45 MILLION TL FROM GAIN MEDIA
According to the report, Gain Media contracts and YouTube revenues stood out among the income items of Babala TV and related companies.
The analysis stated that a total fund inflow of 45,031,020 TL was realized to the group through Gain Media, and on June 12, 2023, a transfer of 13,275,000 TL was made from Gain Media Inc. to Babala TV's account in a single transaction under the description 'contract fee.'
In the report, it was also stated that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into illegal betting and money laundering against Gain Media and its affiliated companies is ongoing, and the commercial relationship between Babala TV and Gain Media was found to be noteworthy.
YOUTUBE REVENUES PEAKED IN 2023
According to the report, YouTube revenues, which were at approximately 265,000 TL, rose to 6,425,955 TL in 2023 following the broadcast with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu before the elections.
It was stated that regular revenue flows of millions of lira continued in 2024 and 2025, and it was noted that in the early years, revenues were transferred through Muse Görsel Sanatlar, and in the later period through Google Ireland and Osis Yapım.
VILLA PURCHASE FOR 25 MILLION TL
According to the report, on January 5, 2024, 25 million TL was sent from Babala TV's account to Emin Altuğ Özkan in a single transaction.
In return for this payment, it was stated that a villa from the River Oak Villaları project in Çekmeköy Ömerli was added to the company's assets.
The report also included the assessment that the value of the villas in the region starts from 100 million TL, and the actual payment amount would be clarified through expert reports and within the scope of the investigation.
LUXURY VEHICLE AND MOTORCYCLE PURCHASES ALSO IN THE REPORT
In the examinations by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and tax inspectors, the sale of the Range Rover Sport vehicle registered in the name of Babala TV and other vehicles in the company's inventory were also included in the report.
It was claimed that within two days following the payment from Gain Media, a Honda ADV350A model motorcycle was purchased, and the BMW brand electric motorcycle bought by Tuğrul Uğur in 2025 was financed through work advances drawn from the Babalayka Film company.
In the report, it was stated that over 2,000 advance transactions were separately evaluated in terms of accounting records.
TAX BASE SHOWN AS 'ZERO'
According to the Ministry of Finance data, it was stated that during periods when Babalayka Film achieved net sales revenue of 10,961,000 TL and Babala TV achieved 8,593,000 TL, the net profit and tax base were declared as 0 TL.
In the expert assessments included in the report, it was stated that this situation may require official inspection in terms of suspicions of financial irregularities such as 'aggressive tax planning,' 'base erosion,' or 'intense internal advance traffic.'
