22-year-old Kürşat Çetin lost his life after being electrocuted while working to fix a malfunction on an electricity pole in Alanya.

In a work accident in Alanya district of Antalya, 22-year-old Kürşat Çetin, who worked for an electricity distribution company, lost his life after being electrocuted on a utility pole he climbed to fix a fault. An investigation has been launched into the incident.

ELECTROCUTED WHILE INTERVENING IN THE FAULT

The incident occurred in Kestel Neighborhood of Alanya. According to the information obtained, Kürşat Çetin, an employee of the electricity distribution company who was working to fix a fault on a utility pole in the area, was electrocuted for an undetermined reason.

EMERGENCY TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE 

Upon citizens in the vicinity reporting the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. With the teams' efforts, the young worker was brought down from the utility pole and given medical intervention by health personnel.

 HE LOST HIS LIFE 

In the checks carried out by medical teams, it was determined that 22-year-old Kürşat Çetin lost his life at the scene. The young worker's body was taken to the morgue for autopsy after the work of the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the incident that caused the young worker to be electrocuted occurred, and it was learned that the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
