For years, the residents have faced incidents such as garbage being scattered around, feces being smeared on doors, walls being painted with oil paint, or pepper spray being used, and they are seeking help from the authorities.
Citizens living in an apartment in the Buca district of Izmir are going through tough times due to the verbal and physical assaults of their neighbor M.D., who is alleged to be mentally unstable and acts under the guidance of her father. Residents of the building, who have faced incidents such as trash being scattered around, feces being smeared on doors, and pepper spray being used for years, are seeking help from the authorities.

Moments when M.D. left trash at her neighbors' door were recorded, as well as instances of the woman, who is claimed to have psychological issues, shouting from her apartment balcony.
"THE WHOLE APARTMENT IS DISTURBED FOR ONE PERSON"
Zeynep Akil, who stated that they moved into the building about a month ago and witnessed events in a short time, said, "Since we moved in, I have been hearing noises in the building. When the smells spread in the building, we asked our neighbors. We witnessed the events without needing to ask. There are incidents like trash collection, not letting residents have peace, and shouting. Trash is thrown at our manager's door, trash is collected from outside and brought to the elevator. My child was very scared because of that noise and shouting, and her psychology was disturbed. I have two children, and I was scared of those shouts too. We want silence and calm in a house where everyone wants to live in peace. The police are called, and they stay for hours, but nothing can be done due to the landlord or the girl's illness. The whole apartment is disturbed for one person, and we want the authorities to intervene in this situation," she said.
"WE ARE VERY SCARED"
Emphasizing that the problem has been ongoing for years, an apartment resident said, "This girl has a report; she makes us do all kinds of things under her father's guidance. Despite going to the police many times because she has a report, no one can do anything, and we are very scared. I opened the door hesitantly because I thought she would spray pepper gas when I rang the bell. She smears feces on our door and leaves dirt. My 18-year-old daughter is still afraid to go down alone in the elevator. She does not give peace to our manager and behaves the same way towards other neighbors. We are just ordinary people; we have no enmity with anyone. Does someone have to die for the authorities to find a solution?" she expressed.
"SHE MADE ME POUR FECES IN FRONT OF MY DOOR"
Hüseyin Ateş (78), who has been the site manager since 2005, said, "When I first came, I took this woman's father to court for not paying the dues, and the incidents started after that. Her father made her pour feces in front of my door by instructing her, claiming that she is mentally unstable and lacks legal capacity. I have installed cameras multiple times, and we went to court. This woman was sent to Manisa and then returned. That girl has no fault; her father is directing her. I have at least 8-9 court cases with these people. Our children's safety is at risk; they cannot go outside due to fear. She paints the doors with oily paint. We want her father to remove her and for us to live in peace here," he stated.
"NO ONE'S SAFETY IS GUARANTEED"
Mehtap Aydoğdu, who moved into the building during the pandemic and served as a manager for a while, stated, "During my management period, my slippers were stolen from my door. In 2026, my house was flooded, and they came and broke my tiles at the door and dumped sand. She harms all my neighbors, throwing trash and feces. I filed a complaint; she threw a water-filled barrel at my workers and sprayed pepper gas. We encountered the smell of pepper gas in the apartment for no reason. I live with my child, and no one's safety is guaranteed. We live in trash as a whole apartment; we want cleanliness and peace," she explained.
