In the August 2026 election poll by GENAR Research Company, the AK Party ranked first with 34.9 percent, the New Party ranked second with 19.1 percent, while the CHP's vote was measured at 7 percent. In the poll, public support for the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process was 61.6 percent, with the highest support for the process coming from the bases of the DEM Party at 90.5 percent and the AK Party at 85.5 percent.
İhsan Aktaş, President of GENAR Research Company, shared the results of the latest election poll for the August 2026 period with the public. In the poll, the AK Party maintained its top position, while the support rates for the "Terror-Free Turkey" process also drew attention.

The responses given to the question directed at participants, "If a general election were held today, which party would you vote for?" revealed the current situation in the political arena.
AK PARTY AT THE TOP, NEW PARTY LEFT CHP BEHIND
According to the poll results, the AK Party ranked first with a vote share of 34.9%. The most notable rise in the ranking was made by the New Party, which reached a vote share of 19.1%. The difference between the CHP, which remained at 7%, and the New Party rose to 12.1 points.
In GENAR's August poll, after the undecided voters were distributed, the vote shares of the parties were listed as follows:
- AK Party: 34.9%
- New Party: 19.1%
- DEM Party: 10.1%
- MHP: 8.5%
- İYİ Party: 8.3%
- CHP: 7.0%
- Victory Party: 3.3%
- Key Party: 2.8%
- New Welfare Party: 2.1%
- Other: 3.1%
61.6% SUPPORT FOR THE "TERROR-FREE TURKEY" PROCESS
In the study, voters were also asked about their perspectives on the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, one of the most important agenda items of recent times. While 61.6% of the participants stated that they supported the process, the rate of those who did not support it remained at 38.4%.
HIGHEST SUPPORT FROM DEM PARTY AND THE GOVERNING BASE
The distribution of support for the process by party base was also examined. According to the survey data, the highest support for the process came from DEM Party voters with 90.5%. High support rates were also observed among the bases of the AK Party and MHP, the components of the People's Alliance. The support rates of party bases for the "Terror-Free Turkey" process were listed as follows:
- DEM Party: 90.5%
- AK Party: 85.5%
- MHP: 80.7%
- CHP: 47.4%
- New Party: 40.9%

- Undecided: 64.8%
