With Aston Villa's UEFA Europa League championship, Tammy Abraham became the second footballer in history to win titles in four different UEFA club competitions.
Tammy Abraham, the striker Aston Villa added to their squad from Beşiktaş during the mid-season transfer window, has become only the second player in history to win titles in all four different UEFA club competitions after the English side secured the UEFA Europa League trophy.
In the UEFA Europa League final hosted in Istanbul, English club Aston Villa defeated German representatives Freiburg 3-0 to claim the championship, bringing with it an individual achievement that entered football history. English striker Tammy Abraham, wearing the Aston Villa jersey, added another major European cup to his career, becoming the second footballer in history to win titles in all four different UEFA club competitions. The 28-year-old goalscorer, who lifted the trophy after the final match played at Beşiktaş Park, achieved this feat with three different teams.
He started his trophy collection with Chelsea and completed it with Aston Villa
Tammy Abraham, who stepped onto the European stage with Chelsea, the club where he grew up in the youth academy, became a regular on the UEFA podium with the teams he transferred to and played for on loan throughout his career. Abraham experienced the joy of lifting the biggest trophy at the club level by winning the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in the 2020-2021 season.
Again in 2021, the 28-year-old footballer was part of the squad when Chelsea defeated UEFA Europa League champions Villarreal on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup match, and in the 2021-2022 season, he won the inaugural UEFA Conference League with Italian club Roma under the management of Jose Mourinho.
Abraham transferred to Beşiktaş at the start of the 2025-2026 season and then moved to Aston Villa during the mid-season break. The English footballer completed the only missing piece in his collection with the victory over Freiburg in Istanbul.
He etched his name alongside Emerson Palmieri
Previously, Italian left-back Emerson Palmieri was the only footballer in the world to have experienced championship joy in all four of these major tournaments with Chelsea and West Ham United jerseys. With the final in Istanbul, Tammy Abraham became the second name to share this title after Palmieri, writing his name into football history. - ISTANBUL
