U.S. President Donald Trump announced that starting tomorrow, his country will impose reciprocal tariffs on other countries, with the basic tariff rate exceeding 10%, taking into account customs duties and "non-monetary barriers to trade and forms of fraud" that vary by country. In this context, it was reported that an additional 34% customs duty would be imposed on China, consisting of a 10% base tariff plus an additional 24% "reciprocal tariff."

China announced that it would impose an additional tariff on the U.S. at the same rate in response to the 34% increase in customs duties on products imported from China under the "reciprocal tariffs." The country will apply a 34% tariff on U.S. goods starting from April 10. The relevant announcement was made by the official Xinhua news agency.
