Recently in the news due to harassment allegations, actor Tayanç Ayaydın has lost his role in the yet-to-be-released series "Ben Leman." The production company announced that it has decided to part ways with Ayaydın following the public backlash.
In recent days, the world of art and entertainment has been shaken by a series of harassment allegations. One of the prominent names at the center of these allegations is the famous actor Tayanç Ayaydın.
HARASSMENT ALLEGATION AGAINST TAYANÇ AYAYDIN
Young actress Doğa Lara Akkaya claimed that Ayaydın, her co-star in the series "Tozluyaka," which aired in 2022, verbally and in writing harassed her. Akkaya also revealed the messages Ayaydın sent her on her social media account.
SUPPORT MESSAGE FROM TERZIOĞLU TO AKKAYA
Famous actress Burçin Terzioğlu expressed her support for Akkaya, who caused a great stir on social media with her confession. Terzioğlu, who will share the screen with Ayaydın in the new series "Ben Leman," stated the following in her social media post: "In the past or present... Those who remained silent without even knowing that it was mobbing or harassment because they couldn't name it... Those who were suppressed by their fears, age, and loneliness... Or every woman who could only speak up by gathering all her courage is with me."
TERZIOĞLU UNFOLLOWED AYAYDIN
Terzioğlu's reaction did not stop there; she also unfollowed Tayanç Ayaydın on her social media accounts.
PRODUCTION COMPANY SEPARATES FROM AYAYDIN
Following Terzioğlu's reaction, Ayaydın's future in the yet-to-be-aired "Ben Leman" became a topic of curiosity. According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the production company NTC Medya has parted ways with Ayaydın. Another actor will portray the character "General Surgeon Demir" in the series.
AYAYDIN: I AM BURNING MYSELF
On the other hand, Tayanç Ayaydın, who had remained silent for days following the allegations, finally made a statement. In his statement, Ayaydın said: "Recently, my name has appeared in some message leaks. I believe it is time to speak directly and clearly. On New Year's Eve, I sent a message to a colleague. Looking back today, I see that although this message was not intended maliciously, it could be perceived as inappropriate. I sincerely apologize for this. The response I received clearly showed me that the message was not well received, and I did not continue the communication.
I must also clearly state this: I may have acted thoughtlessly, but I did not harass anyone. As soon as I understood the reaction, I stopped. No form of harassment is acceptable, and women's ability to raise their voices and feel safe must always be protected.
Being associated with such a serious accusation today, when the incident is merely a single thoughtless message, is extremely upsetting for me. I see that the perception created in the public is disproportionately magnified by my mistake. The weight of the consequences has left me facing an unjust victimization. Therefore, I feel compelled to seek legal recourse to protect my name and reputation. This step is not against the right of women to be heard, but solely aimed at remedying the unjust and severe damage directed at me.
Throughout my 20-year professional life, I have worked with many valuable colleagues based on respect, collaboration, and trust. I have never encountered such an incident until now. If any of my colleagues think otherwise, please do not hesitate to come forward with evidence.
I apologize to everyone whose heart I have unintentionally broken. My only wish is for the truth to be understood fairly and for all of us to continue our paths with trust and peace.
