Esra Işık, who was detained following the tensions during the exploration activities carried out in the Akbelen region of Milas district in Muğla, was arrested by the court to which she was brought. Işık, who was subjected to legal action due to her remarks directed at the exploration team, was decided to be arrested based on her statement and the evidence in the file.
During the work carried out by the inspection committee headed by the judge regarding the expropriation and mining area in the Akbelen region of Milas district in Muğla, tensions arose. Following the incident, Esra Işık was taken into custody.
ARGUED WITH OFFICIALS
It was learned that a dispute broke out between Esra Işık, who was present in the area during the inspection works, and the officials. As the tension escalated, Işık was taken into custody by law enforcement.
According to the information obtained, it was stated that Esra Işık, the daughter of İkizköy Muhtar Necla Işık, used the expression "I will make you experience hell" towards the court committee and that these moments were captured on camera.
ARREST WARRANT ISSUED
Işık, who was taken into custody, was arrested by the court she was brought before and transferred to Muğla E Type Prison.
It was expressed that the footage of the mentioned moments was presented as evidence to the court and was influential in the arrest decision.
DEFENSE OF "I THOUGHT THEY WERE COMPANY OFFICIALS"
In her defense, Işık claimed that she used the aforementioned expressions because she mistook the court committee for company officials, but this defense was found insufficient by the court.
It was noted that the file also included allegations of threats and insults against public officials along with the obstruction of the inspection process.
PENALTY FOR THE CRIME IS UP TO 3 YEARS IN PRISON
The incident was addressed under the crime of "resisting to prevent the performance of duty" regulated in Article 265/1 of the Turkish Penal Code, which foresees a prison sentence of 6 months to 3 years for this crime.
