Terrible accident in Aydın! The woman hit by the train lost her life.

In the Efeler district of Aydın, 64-year-old Pakize Aydın lost her life after being hit by a passenger train. Aydın was struck by the train while crossing the tracks, and despite being taken to the hospital, she could not be saved.

The accident occurred around 19:00 at the level crossing near Kardeşköy Neighborhood on the Efeler-İncirliova Highway. Pakize Aydın, who lives in Kardeşköy Neighborhood, went out to the road on foot after picking figs from her garden to return home. Aydın was hit by a passenger train traveling on the Denizli-Izmir route while trying to cross the level crossing.

THE DRIVER WAS RELEASED AFTER GIVING HIS STATEMENT

Upon the notification of the surrounding people, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Aydın, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to Aydın State Hospital for treatment after the first intervention by the medical teams that arrived at the scene. Despite the interventions performed at the hospital she was taken to, Pakize Aydın lost her life. The train operating on the Denizli-Izmir route continued its journey after the driver's statement was taken. The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident.
