The allegations against Levent Naz, the arrested husband of Bedriye Naz, a mother of four who died after falling from a balcony on the 5th floor in Mardin's Midyat district, were chilling. The grieving family and their lawyers, stating that the incident was not an accident but a murder, claimed that after the incident, the suspect called his relatives and said, 'I killed her, I had planned this before, she cheated on me, come and take her.'
In the Midyat district of Mardin, Filiz Dilekçi, the sister of Bedriye Naz (27), who died after falling from the balcony of a 5th-floor apartment, said, "They murdered my young sister. They killed her brutally. She was pushed from the 5th floor by her husband. This heartless Levent Naz not only killed Bedriye Naz but left her 4 children motherless."
The incident occurred on August 11 in the Bağlar neighborhood of Midyat district. Bedriye Naz, a mother of 4 children living in an apartment on the 5th floor of Tanlar Sitesi on Çevre Yolu, fell from the balcony for reasons not yet determined. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Under the control of health workers, it was determined that Naz had lost her life. Bedriye Naz's lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. After the autopsy procedures at Mardin Training and Research Hospital were completed, Naz's body was buried in the family cemetery in the rural Acırlı neighborhood of the district.
SUSPECT HUSBAND ARRESTED
As part of the investigation, Bedriye Naz's husband Levent Naz (32), who was detained on the claim that they had argued before the incident, was arrested by the court at the Midyat Courthouse, where he was referred with a request for arrest after his statement to the police, and sent to prison.

While the investigation into the incident continues, the family's lawyer Gurbet Bilbay claimed that the woman had wanted to divorce about a year ago, but this request was prevented by her husband. Arguing that the incident should not be evaluated as a 'fall', Bilbay said, "Bedriye Naz did not fall, she was thrown, she was killed. Why did Bedriye Naz call her sister a few minutes before her death? And after she fell, why did her husband call his brother-in-law and say, 'I killed her, I had planned this before, she cheated on me, come and take her'? Look, her sister personally witnessed this conversation. We also have call records regarding this. This person was already obsessive and was arrested while trying to flee. The family is in pain. Let's ease the family's pain at least a little, let justice prevail. We expect support from everyone in this matter."

Bedriye's sister Filiz Dilekçi, stating that her sister was murdered, said, "They murdered my young sister. They killed her brutally. She was pushed from the 5th floor by her husband. This heartless Levent Naz not only killed Bedriye Naz but left her 4 children motherless. He never thought, 'What will happen to those children?' He devastated us. We didn't understand what kind of conscience this is. He made us experience all this. Let everyone know this murderer. Let the whole world know. We want justice. We truly want justice."
