In the Kemer district of Antalya, two workers were severely injured after being electrocuted when a moving lift set up to transport goods to a house collapsed onto an electrical line. 30-year-old İbrahim Güneş and 24-year-old İsmail Aktaş died despite all medical interventions at the hospitals they were taken to.

The Kemer district of Antalya witnessed a horrific work accident. Employees of a moving company, who were severely injured when the elevator they set up to carry goods touched an electrical line, could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors.

ELEVATOR TOPPLED OVER ONTO POWER LINE

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on Alasini Street in the Ulupınar neighborhood of Kemer. İbrahim Güneş (30) and İsmail Aktaş (24), employees of a moving company transporting goods to the home of a citizen named Ş.A. (51), began setting up a mobile elevator system outside to carry the items into the house more easily. During the installation, the moving elevator, for reasons yet unknown, lost its balance and toppled over onto a power line passing through the street.

YOUNG WORKERS ELECTROCUTED COULD NOT BE SAVED

When the elevator touched the high-voltage wires, İbrahim Güneş and İsmail Aktaş, who were in contact with the metal parts of the system at that time, were caught in a severe electric current. Upon notification by nearby citizens, police and 112 Emergency Health teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.

Health teams arriving at the scene provided first aid to the two severely injured workers on site. İbrahim Güneş, in critical condition, was taken by ambulance to Kemer State Hospital, while İsmail Aktaş was taken to Kumluca State Hospital for treatment. However, the two young workers could not hold on to life despite all the interventions by the doctors at the hospitals.

Crime scene investigation teams conducted a detailed examination of the area, while police launched a comprehensive investigation into the tragic accident.
