Sarvinoz Jahongirova (13), a Uzbek national, left home to find her sister who had gone to a market in Beyoğlu, and went missing. After her family filed a missing person report, Jahongirova went to the Uzbekistan Consulate in Beşiktaş on her own three days later. Following Jahongirova's arrival at the consulate, her family was notified.
Good news came from 13-year-old Sarvinoz Jahongirova, who was unreachable after leaving home to look for her sister in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. The little girl, who had been searched everywhere for 3 days, was found at the Uzbekistan Consulate in Beşiktaş, where she had gone on her own.
SHE LEFT TO FIND HER SISTER, GOT LOST HERSELF
The incident occurred on Friday, August 28, around 13:00 on Kulaksız Hamamı Street in Beyoğlu Kaptanpaşa Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, when her older daughter, who had gone to the market, was late returning home, mother Zarnigor Mukhammadjanova sent her 13-year-old daughter Sarvinoz Jahongirova outside to find her sister and call her home. About 10 minutes after Sarvinoz left the house, her older sister returned home, but no further news was received from the little girl.
"SHE DIDN'T USE A PHONE, DIDN'T KNOW THESE AREAS"
Following the family's report, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Child Branch Missing Children Bureau launched a comprehensive operation. While the search efforts were ongoing, mother Mukhammadjanova, describing her daughter's disappearance process, expressed her concern, saying, "My older daughter was delayed while looking for affordable products at the market. I told my little daughter, 'Go find your sister and bring her back.' Ten minutes later my older daughter came, but Sarvinoz didn't return. It's been over a year since we came to Istanbul, but she doesn't know these areas well. She had no phone, no social media account, or any friend she could go to. There was no one we suspected either."
SECURITY CAMERAS WERE EXAMINED
During the investigations carried out by police teams, the last images of Sarvinoz after her disappearance were revealed. The security camera footage showed the little girl walking on the street, entering a market, and then passing by a garbage container and walking away.

Following the procedures of the police and consulate officials, it was reported that Sarvinoz would be handed over to her family tomorrow.
