Following the warning, the individuals left the area.
A new striking image has been added to the inspections carried out by security forces with drones in Istanbul. Following the warning issued yesterday via a police drone announcement to people consuming alcohol in Fatih, this time the location was Uskudar.
Police teams conducting an inspection at Uskudar Coast identified people consuming alcohol in the area with the help of a drone.
DRONE WENT DIRECTLY TO THEIR SIDE
A warning announcement was made through the speaker of the police drone, which was directed to the point where the identified individuals were located.
During the announcement, the following statements were used: “Attention, attention, this is a police drone. Alcohol consumption is prohibited here. Please comply with the warnings and leave the area. Otherwise, legal action will be taken.”
Following the warning, the people at the coast left the area within a short time. Those moments were captured on camera.
YESTERDAY FATIH, TODAY USKUDAR
The images from Uskudar came after a similar inspection carried out in Fatih the day before. In Fatih, people consuming alcohol had also been warned via an announcement made through a police drone.
With the practice observed in two districts in a row, the active use of police drones in inspections across Istanbul drew attention.
POLICE DRONES USED IN 39 DISTRICTS
On the instructions of Istanbul Provincial Police Chief Selami Yildiz, police drones are being used in all 39 districts of the city.
In addition to public order and narcotics operations, the drones also take part in inspecting forested areas and carrying out work against the risk of fire. While large areas are monitored from the air, suspicious situations detected are reported to the teams in the region.
