A 15-year-old boy living in Edirne stabbed a person with whom his family had a feud for an unknown reason, killing him with 21 stab wounds. After the incident, E.K. and his companions surrendered. An investigation into the tragic event is ongoing.
In the İpsala district of Edirne, 15-year-old E.K. stabbed 44-year-old Bekir İşlek, with whom his family had a feud, 21 times. Bekir İşlek died in the hospital where he was taken in critical condition.
MURDER SUSPECT SURRENDERED
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on Meriç Street in the Köprü neighborhood. According to allegations, E.K. and his wife Z.K. went to the house of their rival, Bekir İşlek, taking their children E.K. and D.K. along with their children's friend E.Ç. When İşlek came out in front of the house, he started to argue with the feuding family. As the argument escalated, E.K. took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed Bekir İşlek 21 times in various parts of his body. While the seriously injured İşlek collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, the feuding family fled the scene. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Bekir İşlek, who was taken to Keşan State Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved. The body was sent to the Edirne Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy. Shortly after the incident, E.K., Z.K., D.K., E.Ç., and the murder suspect E.K. went to the İpsala District Police Department to surrender.
