The Turkish Language Association, in collaboration with the Communication Research and Application Center of Ankara University, has initiated a proposal process to determine the "Word/Concept of the Year 2025." Those who wish to make a suggestion can submit their word/concept proposals and the reasons for their suggestions via the link on the website until December 14. The concept of "crowded loneliness," selected through the first application held in 2024, was widely discussed.

PROPOSAL SECTION OPENED

According to a statement from TDK, a section has been opened on the institution's website for citizens to submit word and concept proposals in order to strengthen the position of Turkish in the international cultural arena, support Turkey's cultural influence on a global scale, emphasize the value of Turkish, and promote awareness of thinking about words.

DEADLINE DECEMBER 14

Those who wish to make a proposal can submit their word/concept suggestions and the reasons for their proposals via the link on the website until December 14. The submitted word/concept proposals will be evaluated by the TDK Evaluation Board.

LAST YEAR'S WINNER WAS QUITE DEBATED

TDK and Ankara University aim to make determining the 'Word/Concept of the Year' through public voting a tradition.
