Galatasaray is set to sign a new 4-year contract with national football player Yunus Akgün. An agreement has been reached between the parties, and under the new contract, the $14 million release clause included in Akgün's previous contract will be removed. This will allow Galatasaray to have more control over the player's potential transfer processes.

With the new contract, the $14 million release clause in the previous contract will no longer be valid. Thus, Galatasaray will have more control over the potential transfer processes of their national player.
The star player will earn the equivalent of 2.5 million euros annually in Turkish Lira. Additionally, performance-based success bonuses of around 250,000 euros will also be added to the contract.
Final adjustments are currently being made to the details of the contract. Official signatures are expected to be signed in the coming days.
