The Ministry of Trade is launching an appointment application via e-Government within the scope of the Disabled Vehicle Import System (DVIS) to accelerate import applications for orthopedic disabled citizens exempt from customs duty. With the system to be implemented in September 2026, commission evaluations will be conducted on an appointment basis, reducing waiting times and making application processes more organized.

The Ministry of Trade is introducing a new application in the Disabled Vehicle Import System (EAIS) to accelerate and streamline the application processes for orthopedically disabled citizens regarding the import of specially equipped vehicles exempt from customs duty.

In a statement from the Ministry, it was reminded that in the current practice, applications are received through the Disabled Vehicle Import System (EAIS) via the e-Government Gateway.

STARTS IN SEPTEMBER

It was reported that the appointment system, developed to manage application processes more effectively, conduct commission work in a planned manner, and reduce waiting times for citizens, will be implemented in September 2026.

APPOINTMENTS WILL BE MADE VIA E-GOVERNMENT

With the new application, commission evaluations will be carried out based on appointments created through e-Government. A 10-minute evaluation period is planned for each application, and citizens will be able to participate in commission procedures by selecting a suitable date and time slot.

WAITING TIMES WILL BE REDUCED

The Ministry aims to ensure more orderly conduct of commission work, make application processes more efficient, and minimize waiting times for citizens thanks to the appointment system.

The statement also emphasized that digital applications enabling disabled citizens to access public services faster, more easily, and more accessibly will continue to be implemented, and service quality will be further improved.
