Details of an armed robbery attempt that took place in front of a bank branch in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul have emerged. In the police investigation, it was revealed that two individuals who withdrew money handed it over to an employee of the company they owed money to, and then attempted to rob that person at gunpoint. One of the suspects, who was detained, confessed that he had given a statement as if he had been attacked by a third party with a weapon at the scene.
An interesting detail emerged in an armed robbery attempt in front of a bank branch in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul.
REPORTED "WE WERE ROBBED"
The incident occurred at the exit of a bank branch located in the İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone. According to the information obtained, individuals named A.Ö. (44), T.T. (41), and F.P. (19) reported that they were robbed at gunpoint by unknown individuals while withdrawing money from the bank. Following the report, a large number of police were dispatched to the scene.
THEY TRIED TO ROB THE DEBT THEY PAID WITH A GUN
Police teams affiliated with the Istanbul Police Department conducted a detailed investigation regarding the matter. The investigation revealed that the incident had no connection to any third party, and that A.Ö. and T.T. went to the bank to withdraw money due to a debt owed by F.P. to the owner of the company where F.P. worked, and handed the money over to F.P. It was then understood that T.T. attacked F.P., who received the money, while A.Ö. randomly fired into the air with a gun to disperse F.P.'s friends who were in front of the bank. No one was injured in the incident, but the bullets fired into the air hit a parked vehicle.
CONFESSED EVERYTHING
After the examination at the scene, the police quickly apprehended A.Ö. along with the weapon he used, and also arrested T.T. and F.P. In his statement at the police station, F.P. confessed that he had reported being attacked by a third party at gunpoint. After his interrogation at the police station, F.P. was released by the order of the prosecutor's office. A.Ö. and T.T. will be referred to the courthouse tomorrow.
