In Istanbul, a drug operation targeting famous individuals has led to detention orders for many people; the "VIP parties" on the Bosphorus and the names alleged to have participated in these organizations are at the center of the investigation.
An operation that drew attention was carried out within the scope of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into "drugs." In the operation organized by the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Investigation Branch teams, former Beşiktaş President Fikret Orman and former Galatasaray President Burak Elmas were detained.
DETENTION ORDER FOR 16 SUSPECTS
As part of the investigation, a detention order was issued for a total of 16 suspects, including businessmen Hakan Sabancı and Kerim Sabancı, as well as actress Hande Erçel, model Didem Soydan, and presenter Güzide Duran.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION AT 16 ADDRESSES
In a statement made by the prosecutor's office, it was noted that a simultaneous operation was conducted at 16 addresses as part of the investigation into the crimes of possession of narcotic substances and facilitating their use. While 14 suspects were detained during the operations, a warrant was issued for 2 suspects.
ALLEGATION OF "VIP PARTIES"
According to a report in Sözcü; at the center of the investigation were parties allegedly organized at the addresses of fugitive businessman Kasım Garipoğlu along the Bosphorus. It was claimed that drug and prostitution activities took place at these events. It was alleged that many names from the business and entertainment world attended these parties, and that Hakan and Kerim Sabancı were among the "VIP participants."
EVIDENCE CAME FROM THE PHONE
Important evidence in the investigation emerged from the statements of Garipoğlu's employees. Following the statements given by driver İsmail Ahmet Akçay and some employees, technical examinations led to a list of individuals alleged to have attended the parties. Among the names identified by the security units were Burak Altındağ, Semiha Bezek, Eylül Su Sapan, Berk Atan, Dilara Aksuyek, Yusuf Tekin, Yavuz Cansız, Cengizcan Atasoy, Süreyya Arioba, İbrahim Barut, Mert Ayaydın, Taha Bilici, Kerim Sabancı, and Hakan Sabancı. The investigation is being conducted in a multifaceted manner.
