A sorrowful update has arrived regarding 17-year-old Okan Koç, who went missing 6 days ago while grazing his livestock in the Horasan district of Erzurum. The lifeless body of the young shepherd was found in the Aras River, approximately 5 kilometers from the point where he disappeared, following search efforts conducted by AFAD, gendarmerie, and diving teams with over 100 personnel.

Sad news came from 17-year-old shepherd Okan Koç, who had been unreachable for days in the Horasan district of Erzurum. The young shepherd's lifeless body was found in the Aras River.

OVER 100 PERSONNEL SEARCHED

AFAD, gendarmerie, and diver teams were mobilized to find Okan Koç, who went missing while grazing his animals in the Hiran Hamlet of Pirali Neighborhood. 25 personnel from the Kars Provincial Gendarmerie Command also supported the search efforts.

Teams conducted searches with boats in and around the Aras River, while the area was also scanned with binoculars. The operations continued with the participation of over 100 personnel.

LIFELESS BODY FOUND IN THE RIVER

As a result of the teams' efforts, Okan Koç's lifeless body was found in the Aras River, approximately 5 kilometers from the point where he was reported missing.

The search operations initiated upon the report of the young shepherd, who was said to have gone missing while grazing his animals on June 10, have been concluded.
