The turquoise sea view and dolphin schools in the Bosphorus created postcard-worthy images. Moments of dolphins seen off the historic peninsula swimming as if racing ships from time to time were captured from the air.

The clear and sunny weather that was effective in Istanbul on the second day of Eid al-Adha caused unique views to emerge on the Bosphorus. At the Bosphorus in Istanbul, which is the transition point between the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, the seawater turned turquoise in many spots. In aerial footage, the turquoise color tones, especially off the historical peninsula, drew attention.

Experts state that this natural phenomenon, which is observed from late spring to summer months each year, occurs due to the angle of the sun's rays hitting the sea surface, the clarity of the water, changes in plankton density, and the Bosphorus's two-way current system. The different water structures formed by the upper current from the Black Sea and the lower current from the Sea of Marmara also cause the sea's color to appear turquoise in places.

DOLPHIN FEAST IN TURQUOISE WATERS

The dolphin pod that appeared in the turquoise waters of the Bosphorus offered a visual feast to onlookers. The dolphins, captured from the air, advanced in a group, occasionally surfacing to breathe. Some dolphins were seen swimming along with the waves created at the front of ships. In front of a cargo ship sailing off the historical peninsula, the dolphins moved as if racing the ship. The dolphins, leaping in succession on the water surface, were captured by a drone camera. In the footage, multiple dolphins were seen moving together and clearly visible against the turquoise sea.
