Two apartment buildings in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, which had cracks in their columns, were evacuated as a safety measure.
Five-story twin apartments with cracks in one of the columns were evacuated in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır.
Cracks appeared in one of the columns of the blacksmith shop located on the ground floor of the five-story Bakır-3 Apartment on Göçmenler Street in the Bağlar district in the evening hours.
GREAT PANIC
Upon notification, AFAD, fire brigade, police, and health teams were dispatched to the area. After the teams' efforts, residents of the Bakır-3 Apartment were evacuated with the help of the teams.
ADJACENT BUILDING ALSO EVACUATED
The adjacent five-story Altaş Apartment was also evacuated as a precaution. A decision will be made regarding the condition of the two buildings after the inspection.
Veysi Sarıcan, a resident of the Altaş Apartment, said, "I had no idea about anything. Neighbors informed us. They said the column of the adjacent building had burst. The teams asked us to evacuate the building as a precaution. We will go to our relatives."
