In the Bozova District of Şanlıurfa, an explosion occurred due to gas accumulation in the kitchen cylinder, resulting in a fire that claimed the lives of Zeynep Şeyho, a Syrian national, and her grandchildren, 11-year-old Elif Şeyho and baby Arif Şeyho. 11-year-old Berfin, 10-year-old Muhammed, and Veyso, along with 36-year-old Ramazan Şeyho, were injured.
A gas explosion occurred in a house in Şanlıurfa due to gas accumulation. Three people from the family lost their lives, and four others were injured.
EXPLOSION DUE TO GAS ACCUMULATION IN THE HOUSE
The incident took place in the evening hours in the Yavuz Sultan neighborhood of the district. A Syrian family experienced a gas explosion in the kitchen while cooking. After the explosion, a fire broke out in the house. Firefighters, medical teams, UMKE, and police were dispatched to the scene upon notification from the surrounding residents.
3 DEAD, 4 INJURED
The fire, was extinguished by the firefighters. Health officials determined during their examination that Zeynep Şeyho and her grandchildren Elif Şeyho and baby Arif Şeyho had died. The injured Berfin, Muhammed, Veyso, and Ramazan Şeyho were taken to Bozova State Hospital by ambulances.
After the police investigation at the scene, the bodies of the deceased were taken to the morgue for autopsy. The treatments of the four injured, three of whom are children, continue in the hospital. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
