In Kayseri, police teams responding to another traffic accident stopped a candidate driver on suspicion and determined that he had 2.77 promil alcohol. The driver, whose license was permanently revoked and who was fined 25,000 TL, refused to get out of his car for about an hour to prevent it from being towed, causing difficulties for the police. The driver, who also hurled insults, faced legal action for the charge of 'deliberately endangering traffic safety.'

SUSPICIOUS MOVEMENTS GAVE HIM AWAY
The incident occurred on Erkilet Boulevard in Yeşil Neighborhood, Kocasinan district. Teams from the Traffic Control Branch Directorate, dealing with a different traffic accident in the area, suspected the condition of driver Z.Ş. in the vehicle with license plate 38 ALD 506 while it was in motion. During checks on the stopped vehicle, it was determined that Z.Ş. had a blood alcohol level of 2.77 promille, far exceeding legal limits.
HEAVY PENALTY FOR THE DRIVER CANDIDATE
Investigations revealed that Z.Ş. was still in driver candidate status. The intoxicated driver, who disregarded the rules, had his provisional driver's license permanently revoked. A total administrative fine of 25,000 TL was imposed.
RESISTED GETTING OUT OF HIS CAR FOR 1 HOUR
After learning that his car would be towed to the impound lot following the penal actions, Z.Ş. began causing trouble for the police. Quickly getting into his vehicle and taking the wheel, the individual resisted getting out for about an hour to prevent his car from being towed.
The intoxicated driver, who seemed to test the teams' patience, hurled insults at journalists filming him and police officers performing their duties. After prolonged efforts, Z.Ş. was persuaded with difficulty to exit the vehicle, and the car was removed from the scene by a tow truck.
Z.Ş., against whom legal proceedings were initiated for the crime of "intentionally endangering traffic safety," was taken to the police station for testimony. The investigation into the incident continues.
