In the accident, the driver, 52-year-old Özer Hacıoğlu, died trapped under the vehicle, while his wife Elif Hacıoğlu's body was found in a reed area following a search by the teams. OUT-OF-CONTROL CAR CRASHED INTO GREENHOUSE
The accident occurred around 06:30 in the Adanalioglu neighborhood of Mersin's Akdeniz district. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 01 AJA 747, driven by Ozer Hacioglu (52), veered off the road after the driver lost control. The swerving car crashed into a greenhouse by the roadside. After bystanders reported the accident, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the area.
DRIVER TRAPPED UNDER THE CAR
Teams arriving at the scene began work on and around the vehicle. Examination by health teams determined that the driver, Ozer Hacioglu, who was trapped under the car, had lost his life. While teams continued their work, it was learned that another person was in the car during the accident. Accordingly, a search was launched to find the second person in and around the accident area.
WIFE'S LIFELESS BODY FOUND IN REED AREA
During the teams' search of the surroundings, the lifeless body of the driver Ozer Hacioglu's wife, 52-year-old Elif Hacioglu, was found in a reed area. It was assessed that Elif Hacioglu was thrown from the car during the accident. Thus, it was determined that the married couple in the vehicle both lost their lives in the accident. The fact that Ozer Hacioglu was found under the car and his wife Elif Hacioglu was found in the reed area away from the vehicle revealed the severity of the accident.
COUPLE'S BODIES TAKEN TO FORENSIC MEDICINE
Police teams conducted investigations at the accident site. After the work at the scene was completed, the lifeless bodies of Ozer Hacioglu and Elif Hacioglu were taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute. An investigation was launched to determine with all details the cause of the accident.
