We immediately intervened and called the fire department. After the fire was extinguished, we realized that nearly 1 million lira in cash that I had kept in a bucket had also burned. A few days after the fire, Karaman Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli visited our workshop. He was very helpful in sending my money to the Central Bank along with Ziraat Bank Manager Hasan Örün to save a portion of the burned money. May God bless them. After the fire, our Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli and Provincial Police Chief Mehmet Turhan constantly visited me, inquired about my situation, and supported me. I also thank all my friends and family who called me during this process," he said.
Ali Ün, who stated that he was not aware of such an application by the Central Bank, said, "We learned thanks to our Governor, and 363 thousand lira of the money was saved. When we opened the shop, there was dense smoke and flames inside. After the fire was extinguished, we looked inside. The Mushaf-ı Şerif was undamaged, and even its nylon cover had not burned. This incident was a lesson for all of us. I thank everyone who supported me during this process," he said.
