The balance sheet of the Central Bank for the accounting period ending on December 31, 2025, has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the bank reported a loss of 1 trillion 65 billion TL in 2025.
The balance sheet of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) for the 94th accounting period ending on December 31, 2025, was published in today's issue of the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, as of the end of 2025, the total assets of the CBRT amounted to 12 trillion 403 billion 663 million 86 thousand 819 lira. During this period, the bank's gold reserves reached 4 trillion 817 billion 61 million 208 thousand 973 lira.
2025 LOSS 1 TRILLION
As of the end of last year, the amount of the CBRT's reserve fund was recorded as 334 million 168 thousand 579 lira. With these results, the bank's loss for the 2025 period was 1 trillion 64 billion 875 million 321 thousand 767 lira.
FED AND ECB ALSO REPORTED LOSSES
The Federal Reserve (Fed) reported an operating loss of 18.7 billion dollars in 2025, marking the third consecutive year of losses. The bank had reported operating losses of 114.3 billion dollars in 2023 and 77.6 billion dollars in 2024.
The European Central Bank (ECB) also closed the last year with a loss of 1 billion 254 million euros. The ECB had reported losses of 7.944 billion euros in 2024 and 1.27 billion euros in 2023.
