Fethiye İdmanyurdu, which achieved championship in the Regional Amateur League and was promoted to TFF 3rd League, announced that it has decided to withdraw from the league.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELEASED
In a statement made from the club's social media account, it was noted that Fethiye İdmanyurdu, founded in 1973 in the Fethiye neighborhood, has written a success story in recent years by reflecting the belief, youth, and passion of a district on the field.
It was stated that Fethiye İdmanyurdu, which was promoted to the Super Amateur League by becoming champion in the 2021-2022 season of the Amateur League, once again became champion in the Super Amateur League in the 2023-2024 season, demonstrating its determination and took a step into the Regional Amateur League.
In the statement, it was mentioned that the club also became champion in the Regional Amateur League this season and moved up to the 3rd League, stating, "To compete in professional leagues in our country is only possible with strong infrastructure, a solid transportation network, sustainable financial resources, and most importantly, the support of local governments, not just with the sweat of football players. We have done our best to go further on this challenging path."
"OUR CALLS WENT UNANSWERED"
The statement conveyed that the requests for support went unanswered, saying, "Unfortunately, our calls went unanswered. We stepped onto the field to honor this city and this district, but unfortunately, the hands that should have stood behind us did not turn to us. For this reason, we regretfully announce that Fethiye İdmanyurdu Sports Club has decided to withdraw from the 3rd League."
