The Ministry of Health announced a change in the childhood vaccination schedule, stating that a single vaccine will be administered against six diseases. A six-component combination vaccine has been created by combining the Hepatitis B vaccine, which has been administered since 1998, with the five-component combination vaccine that has been in use since 2008.
The Ministry of Health announced that it will implement a single vaccine against 6 diseases by making changes to the childhood vaccination schedule. In a written statement from the ministry, it was noted that changes have been made to the childhood vaccination schedule, stating, "As of April 14, 2025, a 6-component combination vaccine, which combines the Hepatitis B vaccine applied since 1998 in Turkey and the 5-component combination vaccine applied since 2008, will be administered."
'THE COMBINATION VACCINE WILL BE ADMINISTERED FREE OF CHARGE'
It was stated that thanks to the 6-component combination vaccine to be implemented by the Ministry of Health, immunity will be provided against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Whooping Cough, Polio, Haemophilus Influenzae Type B, and Hepatitis B diseases with a single injection. It was emphasized that "The 6-component combination vaccines provided by the Ministry of Health will be administered free of charge at all Family Health Centers and relevant health institutions across Turkey. The booster doses for children who started vaccination with the 5-component combination vaccine in the previous period will be completed with the 6-component combination vaccine. No additional vaccines will be required beyond this."
