A documented response came to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who targeted President Erdoğan by asking, "Where was your grandfather?" through the discussions about the executioner. Yusuf İbiş, the Chairman of the AK Party Youth Branch, shared the martyrdom certificate of President Erdoğan's grandfather.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel ignited a new debate by addressing the DEM Party regarding the visit of the Terror-Free Turkey Commission to İmralı, saying, "I invite everyone not to fall into Stockholm Syndrome, not to fall in love with the executioner we barely escaped from yesterday."
Following a series of reactions from the DEM Party, President Erdoğan criticized Özel with the words, "Have you never read the history of the CHP, which is filled with shameful stains throughout your life? You may not know who the executioner is and who the victim is. But my Kurdish brother knows very well who the executioner is."
A RESPONSE FROM THE AK PARTY
In response to Özgür Özel, who said, "There was only one party that saved Turkey, established democracy, and brought democracy. We were there, our grandfathers were there. Then, they found a field of enmity in history and started to scratch it. The CHP did that. Where was your grandfather?" the AK Party provided a documented response this time.
RESPONDED WITH A CERTIFICATE
Yusuf İbiş, the Chairman of the AK Party Youth Branch, responded to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's words directed at President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, "Where was your grandfather?"
İbiş shared a document from the Ministry of National Defense archives on his social media account, saying, "You asked our President where his grandfather was a century ago? Here is the answer; O God, may the souls of all our martyrs, who entered the bosom of the earth as if entering a rose garden for our homeland, flag, and independence for a thousand years, be blessed, and may their places be paradise."
