In the 5th wave operation conducted within the scope of the Gülistan Doku investigation, one more of the 10 suspects detained was arrested. While the number of detainees rose to 30 with the latest decision in the investigation, in which the frogman Gürkan Gürdal had previously been arrested, it was reported that the procedures for 6 suspects at the Erzurum Courthouse are ongoing.
A new development has occurred in the investigation concerning university student Gülistan Doku, from whom no news has been received since January 5, 2020 in Tunceli. One more of the suspects detained within the scope of the fifth wave operation was arrested by the court he was brought before.
10 SUSPECTS DETAINED IN THE 5TH WAVE OPERATION
A new operation was carried out in the Gülistan Doku investigation, conducted in coordination with police and gendarmerie teams in line with the instructions of the Erzurum and Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices. In the 5th wave operation of the investigation, 10 suspects were detained. The process of referring the suspects to the Erzurum Courthouse for their judicial proceedings has been initiated.
FROGMAN GÜRKAN GÜRDAL ARRESTED
Among the first 3 suspects referred to the courthouse, frogman Gürkan Gürdal was referred to the on-duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest. The court decided to arrest Gürdal. The other 2 suspects, whose procedures were completed on the same day, were released under judicial control. Thus, the judicial process for 3 of the 10 people detained within the scope of the 5th wave operation was completed in the first stage.
ONE MORE SUSPECT ARRESTED
The other 7 suspects held in custody within the scope of the operation were also referred to the Erzurum Courthouse. After the procedures at the courthouse, one more of the suspects was brought before the court. The court decided to arrest this suspect as well. With the latest decision, the number of those arrested within the scope of the 5th wave operation increased to 2. In the investigation, where 2 suspects had previously been released under judicial control, the judicial procedures for the other 6 suspects continue.
NUMBER OF DETAINEES RISES TO 30
Following the latest arrest decision, there was also an increase in the total number of detainees in the Gülistan Doku investigation. According to the information provided, the number of detainees within the scope of the investigation has risen to 30. In the investigation, which continues in line with the instructions of the Erzurum and Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, decisions regarding the 6 suspects at the courthouse are awaited.
