It was claimed that football player Aycan Yanaç assaulted physiotherapist Nisa Sözen at an entertainment venue in Şişli. Sözen stated that Yanaç hit her in the face and pulled her hair while she was on the ground, and she filed a complaint after obtaining a medical report. The incident was captured on security cameras, while Yanaç stated that the allegations do not reflect the truth. After the incident, Sözen went to the hospital to get a medical report and filed a complaint against Yanaç.

Physiotherapist Nisa Sözen (26), who went to an entertainment venue in Şişli, claimed she was assaulted by football player Aycan Yanaç (27) in the restroom. Sözen alleged that Yanaç hit her in the face and pulled her hair while she was on the ground, and she filed a complaint after obtaining a medical report from the hospital. The events that took place in the entertainment venue were captured by security cameras. Speaking about the incident, Nisa Sözen said, "He hit me directly in the face. I had already fallen to the ground at that moment. He grabbed my hair, hit my face; I couldn't see anything at that time. I didn't know what was happening, there was no one inside. I got up from the ground. He hit me in the face again and pushed me back down." Aycan Yanaç, who made a statement through his lawyer, said, "The allegations of 'Assault' directed at our client Aycan Yanaç, which are circulated on social media and some internet platforms, do not reflect the truth."

The incident occurred on Friday, December 6, around 01:00 at an entertainment venue located in Harbiye. Physiotherapist Nisa Sözen, who came to the venue with three female friends in the evening, went to the restroom while her twin sister was having fun. After a while, Nisa Sözen, who followed her sister, knocked on the restroom doors, calling out 'Esma.' When she knocked, a dispute allegedly broke out between football player Aycan Yanaç, who was in the restroom, and Nisa Sözen. Other customers in the venue intervened to separate Sözen, who claimed she was assaulted. The events in the venue were also recorded by security cameras. After the incident, Sözen went to the hospital, obtained a medical report, and filed a complaint against Aycan Yanaç.

'HE HIT ME IN THE FACE AND PUSHED ME DOWN'

Speaking about the incident, Nisa Sözen said, "We went to the venue on Friday. There were four of us girls. We had just arrived around 01:00. My twin sister was with us. Then I was in the restroom, and I returned from the restroom to the table near the cabin. I asked my friends, 'Where is Esma?' My twin sister's name is Esma. They said she was in the restroom, so I went down to check. I knocked on the door, and a girl came out of the restroom. There were two restrooms. I knocked on the other door. In fact, I chatted with a girl who entered at that moment. I knocked on the door several times, calling out 'Esma, Esma.' Then, of course, it was a loud environment. Even if someone inside said something to me, I couldn't hear it. I kept knocking on the door, believing that Esma was there, saying 'Esma, Esma' to get her to open the door. Then I heard a very loud voice saying, 'I’m telling you, there’s no Esma inside, don’t you understand? If I come there, you’ll see.' As soon as she said this, she opened the door. By the way, let me say this, I am 1.58 meters tall and weigh 46 kilograms. In front of me was a taller and more built girl, whose name I will give as Aycan Yanaç, who hit me directly in the face. I had already fallen to the ground at that moment. She grabbed my hair, hit my face; I couldn't see anything at that time. I didn't know what was happening, there was no one inside; but when I lifted my head and tried to get up from the ground, I noticed two more people in the restroom, I don't know who they were. Then I got up from the ground. She hit me in the face again and pushed me back down. I later realized it was with her leg. Anyway, I will mention that later. She pushed me down several times. The restroom is already small. I hit my head against the wall several times while being pushed down. I was in terrible pain. She pulled my hair; I don't remember those moments very clearly. My head is swollen because I hit it against the wall. This is how the events unfolded," she said.

'I FILED A COMPLAINT; I OBTAINED A MEDICAL REPORT'

Nisa Sözen stated, "I have a huge scratch on my leg. Then we left the venue. They protected the girl. People I knew in the venue took her and brought her to a place like an office. They tried to get me out of the venue, but I already went outside to avoid any further incident. I was already crying heavily at that moment. I called the police. Only my twin sister got very angry because she saw me crying like that. She tried to go inside. The venue staff did not come to me at that moment, did not ask if I was okay, did not give me water, no one. I emphasize this, no one. Meanwhile, while these events were happening, since it was in the women's restroom, they somehow pushed me out of the restroom, I didn't understand what was happening. Outside, I was trying to explain myself, crying, and a tall person, whom I assume was security, said, 'I saw her push the girl down several times.' After that, I left. At the door, as I said, my twin sister got angry. At that moment, the police arrived. During this time, no one was by my side. No one asked me if I was okay. No one said 'Get well soon.' The next day, there was no call or anything. Of course, I went to the police station immediately that day to file a complaint. I obtained a medical report, had a CT scan at the hospital, gave blood, and had an X-ray of my chest. My knee hurt, and they took an X-ray of my knee," she expressed.

'I STAND BY MY CASE UNTIL THE END'

Sözen said, "Today, I still can't breathe. It feels like there is pressure from the front and back on my left side when I breathe, and I am a physiotherapist, a working person. I couldn't go to work today because I have no strength. Every part of my body hurts—my neck, my arm, my back. I can't even breathe properly. It hurts even when I cough. I have already filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office and the police. I hope this case will be heard in the prosecutor's office. I hope it won't go unpunished; I hope I won't just be left with the fact that I was beaten. I am filing a complaint against Aycan Yanaç and everyone in that venue until the end. The venue, the next day, or even that same night when I wrote to someone I knew in the venue, said, 'There’s nothing to do with us, you should handle it among yourselves.' If there was nothing to do with you, you shouldn't have let her escape through the back door when you took me out of that venue, or you shouldn't have let her in. When the police arrived, you could have said, 'Come on, you both handle it among yourselves.' If there was nothing to do with you, after I left, you couldn't turn to my friends and say, 'I lost a million because of you.' I was struggling for my life there, I was in a terrible state, crying, with scratches and bruises all over, my head swollen, my hair disheveled, and while I was in that state, you were talking about losing a million; you were saying that you lost a million because of us and then you went to our friends' table to ask for the bill for a drink we couldn't even finish. On top of that, you joked, 'Should I get a discount, should I charge for the scratches on the bill?' The next day, no one called me. No one said there was nothing to do with us, but they didn't say, 'We apologize on behalf of that girl.' That girl continues to go to that venue. Everyone protects her because she is famous and recognized, but I will defend my rights here. If there is a trial, I am sure that the staff in that venue will testify for her. I am sure they will take her side and testify for her. I stand by my case until the end," she stated.
