Galatasaray's captain Fernando Muslera is in the spotlight with his investments in Uruguay. Most recently, Muslera purchased a street in the Maldonado region, which has drawn criticism from the local community.

BOUGHT A STREET

According to reports in the Uruguayan press, Muslera bought a street in the Maldonado region. The Uruguayan star paid 266 thousand dollars (approximately 9.1 million lira) for this investment and has also been at the center of discussions regarding projects to be carried out in the area. Maldonado Mayor Alexandro Infante thanked Muslera for his investments, while the local community opposed the project, claiming it would harm the environment, and gathered over 12,000 signatures. However, it was stated that the street purchased by Muslera would not add any financial value to the surrounding living areas.
