While the fund investigation debates continue, it has emerged that the sons of AK Party MKYK Member Hilmi Türkmen opened a döner shop in the Istanbul Finance Center. Former Çekmeköy Mayor Ahmet Poyraz, who visited the workplace and shared a congratulations post, deleted his post after the reactions.
Developments regarding the fund scandal across Turkey and allegations against some AK Party figures continue to be discussed. After President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s statement on the matter, "What is necessary will be done," eyes turned to the investigation process, while a photograph that appeared on social media sparked a new debate.
THEY OPENED A DÖNER SHOP IN THE FINANCE CENTER
It was learned that the children of Hilmi Türkmen, who served two terms as Mayor of Üsküdar and handed over the office to Sinem Dedetaş in the March 31, 2024 local elections and is currently an AK Party MKYK Member, entered into business. It was stated that Hilmi Türkmen’s sons, Yusuf and Yunus Türkmen, opened a döner shop in the Istanbul Finance Center.
FIRST HE SHARED, THEN HE DELETED
Former Çekmeköy Mayor Ahmet Poyraz, who attended the opening, made a congratulatory post from his social media account that soon became a trending topic. In his post, Poyraz used the following statements: "We visited Paşa Döner, which Hilmi Türkmen’s esteemed son Yunus Türkmen opened at the Istanbul Finance Center, and conveyed our best wishes. May God grant abundant and fruitful earnings. May his business be lasting and his customers plentiful. May it be auspicious and lucky."
Ahmet Poyraz’s removal of the said post from his social media account after a while did not go unnoticed.
