A 20-year-old female student looking for day-to-day work on social media to cover her education expenses was shocked by the indecent fetish proposal she received from a person who contacted her under a job posting. Reacting harshly to the situation, the young woman said, 'People are looking for jobs there; we can't even look for work with our decency anymore,' and stated that she would report the harasser.
A young student looking for daily work online to cover educational expenses and make a living once again faced the dark side of social media. A person who messaged the young woman commenting under job postings made an indecent proposal under the pretext of a job interview.
"I AM A STUDENT, I NEED MONEY, THAT'S WHY I AM LOOKING FOR A JOB"
In the messaging records shared on social media, it was seen that a user named "Emre" asked the young woman questions such as "Are you looking for a job?", "How old are you?", and "Do you need money?" The young woman, stating that she is a 20-year-old student, cannot work long-term due to her school situation, and therefore seeks day-to-day work, summarized her situation by replying to the person's question "Do you need money?" with "I must, since I am looking for a job."
INDECENT PROPOSAL UNDER A JOB POST: HAVE YOU HEARD OF FETISH?
Taking advantage of the young woman's situation, the harasser said, "I have an offer for you, don't be prejudiced, I will ask you something," and made an indecent proposal by asking, "Have you heard of fetish?" This ugly proposal made to the young woman seeking halal earnings amid financial difficulties once again exposed the lack of security and oversight on digital platforms.
STRONG REACTION FROM THE VICTIMIZED YOUNG WOMAN: I WILL REPORT YOU
Not remaining silent in the face of the ugly proposal and reacting with harsh words, the young student taught the harasser a lesson with these words: "You are truly disgusting. You can't do this under a job post comment either. People are looking for jobs there; you have no right to disturb them. We can't even look for work with decency anymore. Whoever is in charge, I will report you."
Following this scandalous exchange, the young woman stated that she would report the person who harassed her to the authorities and warned other women seeking jobs on social media to be careful.
