"IF IT WERE MY FIELD, I WOULD WANT THEM TO COVER MY DAMAGES"

Saniye Gül, who was in a nearby field at the time of the fire, said, "We were harvesting our barley with a combine harvester at that moment. About half an hour earlier, jet-black smoke started rising from there. I told those around me, 'I think a field is burning.' They said to me, 'They are probably burning cables.' When I came home, I learned that a fire had actually broken out and I rushed back here. If it were my field, I would want those who did this to cover my damages in full. I didn't see anyone, but I saw that black smoke," she said.
