KILLED AFTER REACTING TO HARASSMENT OF HIS GIRLFRIEND

According to allegations, 16-year-old high school freshman Kayra Ataman was spending time in the park with his girlfriend when Burak E., who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, verbally harassed them. When Ataman reacted to this situation, an argument broke out. The fight escalated as Burak E.'s 17-year-old son, T.E.E., joined in. As the quarrel intensified, T.E.E. stabbed 16-year-old Kayra in the heart with a knife he was carrying.

Despite all the interventions of the medical teams dispatched to the scene, Kayra, who was severely injured, could not be saved and lost his life. The murder suspect T.E.E., who fled the scene, and his father Burak E. were quickly apprehended by police and taken into custody. Meanwhile, it was also among the allegations that the father Burak E., who started the fight, targeted and reacted to the girl with Kayra because she was his son's ex-girlfriend.

GRIEVING FATHER: THESE ARE NOT CHILDREN, THEY ARE MONSTERS

The grieving family, who came to the Forensic Medicine Institute to collect their son's body, called for justice in tears. Emphasizing that they will not give up their legal struggle, father Hanifi Ataman expressed his rebellion with these words:

"My son was walking with a girlfriend when a drunk person appeared in front of him. That person made advances to the girl, and my son reacted. Then the son of that person got involved. He stabbed my son twice in the heart. My heart is burning. I want justice. I am devastated. My tears have become a flood. Let the attackers get the punishment they deserve. My only son is dead. These are not children, they are monsters. How can a child carry a knife? Let them face the punishment they deserve."

HIS DREAM WAS TO BECOME A SPECIAL OPERATIONS POLICE OFFICER

Mother Emine Ataman, who lamented over her son, touched hearts by sharing Kayra's dreams for the future:

"My son was only 15 years old. I am not even in a state to speak. I want justice. Let children no longer die. He was my only son. He wanted to become a Special Operations police officer. He had a desire to receive training abroad."

"HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT A KNIFE OR A GUN WAS"

Stating that her nephew was a quiet and respectful young man, aunt Kevser Güneş said, "What will happen to these children? We want our voices to be heard. He was a very compassionate, gentle child. He didn't even know what a knife or a gun was," demanding the harshest punishment for the perpetrators.

The body of Kayra Ataman, who was taken from life at such a young age, will be laid to rest amidst tears at Karşıyaka Cemetery following the afternoon prayer. The judicial investigation launched into the incident is continuing from multiple angles.
