In Karabük, three masked and armed robbers stole approximately 20 kilograms of gold from a jewelry store. A customer took advantage of the thieves' distraction, which was focused on the employees, and managed to escape.

In the Safranbolu district of Karabük, three masked and armed individuals escaped after robbing a jewelry store of approximately 20 kilograms of gold. The robbery was captured second by second on the store's security cameras, while the police found some of the stolen gold in the canyon area. A large-scale operation has been initiated to capture the robbers.

The incident occurred last night at a jewelry store located on Sadri Artunç Street in Atatürk Neighborhood. Three masked individuals entered the jewelry store within the business center and pointed guns at the employees. The robbers incapacitated the three employees inside by forcing them to the ground and fled the scene with approximately 20 kilograms of gold stuffed into bags. A large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the alert.

Moments when the robbers pointed guns at bystanders while escaping with three bags full of gold were recorded by citizens.

THE ROBBERY CAPTURED ON SECURITY CAMERA

The robbery was recorded second by second by the store's security cameras. The footage shows the robbers entering the jewelry store with guns, forcing those inside to the ground and incapacitating them. The calm escape of a customer during the incident also drew attention.

A LARGE-SCALE OPERATION HAS BEEN INITIATED

Karabük Governor Mustafa Yavuz, Safranbolu District Governor Şaban Arda Yazıcı, Provincial Police Chief Mehmet Ali Hasan Köse, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel İsmail Gökcek, Safranbolu Mayor Elif Köse, and other officials arrived at the scene for investigation. Governor Mustafa Yavuz stated that extensive operations are ongoing to capture the three robbers and that special operations police have also been dispatched to the area.

In the operations conducted, a quantity of gold and two guns were seized in a backpack in the canyon area of Hüseyinçelebi Neighborhood.

2 GUNS AND A BACKPACK FULL OF GOLD SEIZED

In a statement made on the social media account of the Karabük Governorship regarding the robbery, it was stated, "At 17:40 this evening, a jewelry store operating in our Safranbolu district was robbed by three armed and masked individuals. As a result of the work carried out by our law enforcement agencies from the moment the robbery occurred; two guns believed to have been used in the robbery, a backpack containing gold, and a quantity of gold that is believed to have fallen from another bag were seized in a short time in an open area. A large-scale operation has been initiated to capture the individuals who carried out the robbery and bring them to justice. We respectfully announce this to the public."
