In the Dörtyol district of Hatay, 1 person lost their life and 5 people were injured in a chain-reaction traffic accident caused by a truck jackknifing.
JACKKNIFED AND BLOCKED THE ROAD
The accident occurred at night on the Dörtyol-Erzin Highway near the Kuzuculu neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a truck traveling on the highway jackknifed and blocked the road to traffic after its driver lost control of the steering wheel. A passenger bus belonging to CSR Tourism and a car, both traveling in the same direction, could not stop and crashed into the truck.
CAR TURNED INTO SCRAP
With the force of the impact, the car that went under the truck turned into a pile of scrap metal, while the bus also sustained material damage. Upon the notification, numerous fire brigade, health, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, removed from the vehicles with the intervention of fire brigade teams, were handed over to health officials and taken by ambulances to Dörtyol State Hospital.
1 DEAD, 5 INJURED
In the accident, it was determined that 1 person in the car lost their life at the scene. It was learned that the treatment of the 5 injured who were taken to the hospital is ongoing. Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
