The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, reported that 80.7 million people in Turkey use mobile phones. Minister Uraloğlu stated that 96.9% of internet users aged 16 and over use a mobile phone to access the internet, saying, "We spend an average of 4 hours and 4 minutes online through our mobile phones daily."
The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, evaluated the mobile usage data in the Digital 2025 Turkey report prepared by We Are Social and Meltwater. Minister Uraloğlu stated that by 2025, the population of Turkey is expected to reach 87.6 million, saying, "80.7 million people, which corresponds to 92.1% of our population, use mobile phones."

97.6% OF INTERNET USERS OWN A MOBILE PHONE
Stating that the number of internet users constitutes 88.3% of the population, Uraloğlu said, "There are 77.3 million internet users in our country. According to the report, 97.6% of internet users aged 16 and over own a mobile phone, while 62.8% own a desktop or laptop computer." Minister Uraloğlu also noted that 96.9% of internet users aged 16 and over use any mobile phone to access the internet, followed by smartphones at 95.2%.

56.3% OF TIME SPENT ON THE INTERNET IS MOBILE
Explaining that the average daily time spent on the internet has reached 7 hours and 13 minutes, Minister Uraloğlu said, "The share of mobile in this time is 56.3%. This means we spend an average of 4 hours and 4 minutes on the internet through our mobile phones. The daily time spent on computers and tablets is 3 hours and 9 minutes." Uraloğlu also stated that 73.1% of web traffic in Turkey is generated by mobile phones, with laptops and desktop computers following at 25.5%.
