Selin Diaz, the daughter of Çağla Kubat, one of the ambitious names in windsurfing who is now training champion athletes like herself, is following in her mother's footsteps. Selin, who became champion in the U13 category in the Turkish Sailing Federation Federation Cup, Turkish Championship, and Youth Cup stages, will represent our country at the IFCA Windsurf Slalom World Championship.
Selin Diaz, the daughter of Çağla Kubat, one of the first names that come to mind in windsurfing in our country and who trains champion athletes like herself at the surf club she opened in Çeşme, and her husband, former Olympic athlete Jimmy Diaz, is following in her parents' footsteps with confident strides.
FOLLOWING IN HER MOTHER'S FOOTSTEPS
The 11-year-old young athlete is preparing to represent Turkey at the IFCA Windsurf Slalom World Championship to be held in France from April 22-26. Selin Diaz, the child of Çağla Kubat, who has achieved many international rankings in surfing alongside her acting and modeling career, and Jimmy Diaz, who competed in the Lechner A390 category at the 1992 Summer Olympics, has achieved significant successes in a short time.
SHE JOINED THE NATIONAL WINDSURF TEAM WITH HER SUCCESS
Selin, who became champion in the U13 category in the Turkish Sailing Federation Federation Cup, Turkish Championship, and Youth Cup stages, earned the right to join the National Windsurf Team with these results. The 11-year-old athlete also drew attention by winning first place overall in the entire league.
TO COMPETE IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Selin Diaz will represent our country at the IFCA Windsurf Slalom World Championship to be held in Leucate from April 22-26. In the national team from the Çağla Kubat Windsurf Sailing Club athletes, İrem Metin, İlya Paksoylu and Sarp Mutluel (U17), Beren Ülkümen (U15), and Oğuz Kaan Ertuğrul (U13) are also included.
