Caroline Lang, the daughter of former French Culture Minister Jack Lang, who is mentioned in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, who is being prosecuted for sexual abuse and prostitution networks in the U.S., has resigned from her position at the Independent Producers Union. Lang stated that she made this decision after the revelation of her financial ties to Epstein.

Caroline Lang, the daughter of former French Culture Minister Jack Lang, who was mentioned in newly released documents regarding billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, found dead in prison while awaiting trial on charges of establishing a sex trafficking network targeting underage girls in the U.S., has resigned from her position in the producers' union she managed.

According to reports in the national press, after the Mediapart site revealed the financial ties between the former French minister's daughter and Epstein, Caroline Lang announced that she had resigned from her position as general secretary of the Independent Producers Union (SPI).

"MET THROUGH GENEROUS DONORS"

In a written statement to the press, Caroline Lang expressed that she did not want this situation to affect SPI, stating that she met Epstein in 2012 through "generous donors."

Caroline Lang mentioned that the idea of creating a "completely legitimate fund" to purchase works from young artists seemed reasonable to her at the time, and she stated that she resigned from her position in the relevant organization when Epstein's actions came to light.

On the other hand, Jack Lang claimed that he was in contact with Epstein but argued that there was no evidence at the time that the individual was "at the center of such a criminal network."

The Mediapart website reported, based on newly released documents regarding Epstein, that half of the shares of a company Epstein established in the U.S. Virgin Islands, also known as a "tax haven," in 2016 belonged to Caroline Lang.

JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE

Epstein, who was charged with sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, including the youngest being 14, and establishing a prostitution network, was found dead in his cell at the New York Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019.

The released Epstein case files included famous names such as former Prince Andrew, U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

The FBI also stated that, as a result of its investigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, there was no evidence that a "client list" of famous individuals had been maintained, and it was concluded that Epstein, who was alleged to have been murdered to cover up the crimes of individuals, including government officials, celebrities, and businesspeople, actually committed suicide in his cell.
